Washington, D.C. – In response to the tragic passing of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski of Indiana on Aug. 3, the Co-chairs of the Task Force on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health share their deepest condolences to her family, friends, staff, and the people of Indiana.
Rep. Walorski was a strong advocate in the fight for nutrition security and health equity. She frequently worked across the aisle to push actionable solutions forward to advance the health of Indianans and all Americans. Among her many accomplishments, Rep. Walorski advocated tirelessly for a White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health — a potentially transformational convening that will be held for the first time in over 50 years next month, thanks in no small part to the Congresswoman’s tenacious efforts.
